Nisha Agarwal graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College. A Marshall Scholar at St. Antony's College, Oxford University, she did her PhD research on the topic of social politics in New York City, and also specializes in the politics and economics of South Asia. Her particular interest is fostering diplomatic and corporate links between the Indian subcontinent and the United States. She has written extensively on economic development policy in urban India. Nisha sat on the Board of Directors of the Harvard International Relations Council, Inc. Further, she worked at the US-India Business Council in Washington, DC, where she coordinated a corporate philanthropy project to connect Indian non-profits with the technical and organizational resources of member companies. Nisha is a native speaker of Hindi and speaks Spanish proficiently.
Joseph Kardwell received his MBA from Harvard Business School, and graduated with honors from Harvard College with a degree in Psychology. Joseph has extensive experience in international M&A activity, particularly with the wireless, telecommunications, and media industries. Most recently, Joseph served as Managing Director of the U.S. office for a Germany-based international investment team, where he led strategic analysis, due diligence, and contract negotiations for international operating partnerships. Additionally, he served as a manager on the Business Planning and Development teams with Disney Internet Group and Walt Disney World, focusing on M&A, Internet strategy, and finance.
Garrett Law graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College where he did extensive study in engineering, new technologies, and the history of science and technology. After an appointment by the Mayor of Boston, he served as a consultant to facilitate the reorganization and modernization of the Boston Fire Department. His major tasks included strategic planning, increasing communication, instituting an IT planning process, and designing an improved management and operations structure. While managing Global's biotechnology engagements, he has overseen market research and analysis efforts and directed joint-venture negotiations. In addition to the biotechnology sector, Garrett has experience in the defense (Reliability Analysis Center at Rome Labs/IITRI) and media industries, having served as the manager of a full-power, independent broadcast television station in Los Angeles.
Tyson Law graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Electronic Media, Arts and Communication where he combined artistic ability with technical skill. At Global Outsight, he develops innovative marketing and branding campaigns for our clients. He has developed numerous multi-level, multilingual websites for international businesses. Tyson has worked for several firms - including Digitas Inc. and Fidelity Investments as a web developer and interface designer.
Andrew Prihodko has served as Chief Technology Officer and Executive Board Member of a venture capital and operating firm focused on high technology and media investment, where he was responsible for strategic and technology analysis, due diligence, client relationship management, and technical development. He authored a paper on large organization dynamics while working at the National Bureau of Economic Research, and created a web-based model for analyzing the utilities industry while at Prudential Securities. Andrew has created the back-end software behind many top Internet sites, including hotjobs.com and thespark.com-which he co-founded. He graduated with a B.A. in economics from Harvard College, with a focus on corporate finance and capital markets. Prior to Harvard, he studied engineering and computer science extensively at Odessa Polytechnic University in the Ukraine. Andrew is a native speaker of Russian and Ukranian, and is fluent in English, German and French.
Matthijs Nelemans graduated from the University of Utrecht, Netherlands with an LLM in securities regulation and a degree in economics, focusing on financial market regulation in the EU. At Global Outsight, Matthijs has worked on development projects and has served as a liaison with the Dutch business consulate. He is concurrently pursuing advanced studies in law and securities in Holland, and has studied at Boston College Law School. Matthijs is a native Dutch speaker, is fluent in English and proficient in German and French.
Hope Scott spent over 10 years working and living in London. While there, she co-wrote Living in London: Guidelines, now in its 11th printing. While with world-renown advertising firm Creamer, Inc. (now Euro RSCG MVBMS Partners), Hope developed and managed the campaigns of Stouffer's Lean Cuisine, McDonald's and the City of Pittsburgh. In addition to directing marketing campaigns for Global Outsight's clients, Hope has, as a freelance writer, written pieces for Newsweek and business articles for the Boston Herald. Previously, Hope has worked at both Merrill Lynch and the Harvard Business School. Hope graduated with Honors in English from Boston College and is conversant in French.
David Ulrich is a cum laude graduate of Harvard College in the field of Romance Languages and Literatures. Dave is fluent in French, Spanish, and Catalan, conversant in German and Italian, and has traveled extensively in Europe, Africa, and Latin America. Dave's expertise is the role of language in the formation of personal, regional and national identities. Realizing that language and culture are potent factors in international and interregional business relations, as they serve both to unite and to divide peoples, he applies his linguistic background to the creation of a dialogue amongst divergent international corporate cultures.
Christopher White graduated cum laude from Middlebury College with a degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies. He has a J.D. from The University of Wisconsin Law School and is a member of the bar in Vermont and Massachusetts. Further, he has studied International Trade Regulation (Import/Export), Public International Law, Canadian Legal History, Private International Law, and Comparative Constitutional Law - all at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in Canada. Christopher was a Legislative Aide to U.S. Senator James M. Jeffords of Vermont for whom he initiated and monitored legislative proposals and provided research and policy recommendations on international affairs. He has recently been employed by the Vermont Department of Agriculture as a compliance attorney and was Special Assistant Attorney General in Vermont. He has lived and worked in Mexico and Canada, is fluent in both Spanish and French, and proficient in Italian.
Peter White, Managing Partner. Peter graduated from Hamilton College and did his graduate work at Harvard University - where he taught Asia-related courses in economic development for eight years. Peter specializes in modern China's economic development and politics. In 1999, he left academia to work as an international-business consultant in Hong Kong, returning recently to join Global Outsight. In addition to years spent working in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Germany, he has lived and traveled extensively in France, Japan and South Korea. Peter sits on the Board of Directors of several biotechnology and media companies. By invitation of several European governmental agencies, he has lectured or been impaneled at international business conferences. In the U.S., Peter has given seminars on globalization and international business to various private companies and agencies, including the World Trade Centers Association. Peter is fluent in French and conversational in Mandarin.
